Goals of AliExpress for Europe
AliExpress has new goals for Europe. They want to connect more local traders from European countries to the platform. For this they have to compete with Amazon, eBay and Bol.com. These are similar platforms but with a larger market share than AliExpress at the moment. In addition, AliExpress is currently more known in Europe for its cheap stuff. So they want to change this in 2020 with the offline stores and the online growth strategy.
AliExpress Europe – Logistics in Liège
AliExpress has chosen Liège to build a large warehouse in Europe. An agreement has been made with the government of Belgium to build it. This warehouse will be the main focus of the European network. This will make shipping times much faster. Where you now sometimes have to wait 2 to 3 weeks, this would be much faster with the new network. Then ordered parcels can be delivered within 2 to 5 days.
